Origin Story
This year we are very excited to present one of our new favorite coffees, Entre Volcanes, produced by San Miguel Coffees.
In 2019, we attended the Producer Roaster Forum in Guatemala. During our week there, we stayed at San Miguel Coffees to visit their farms and mill, while learning more in regards to the intricacies of the supply chain.
San Miguel Coffees is located in Antigua, and sits between volcanoes Agua, Fuego and Acatenango. It is a stunning location.
Entre Volcanes is a small producer program started by San Miguel Coffees that includes over 500 producers from local communities. This program supports these farmers with technical support, financing, seedlings, dental and medical clinic services, and much more.
The dedication and expertise provided by the producers and San Miguel, shine through in the quality of this lovely coffee. Boasting tasting notes of brown sugar, red fruit acidity and molasses, this coffee is a crowd pleaser to the many, and a delight to those with the most sophisticated palates.
Our time in Guatemala will not soon be forgotten. The hospitality of the team at San Miguel was second to none, and this is only the beginning of a burgeoning relationship. We hope to go back in the next year and hope you follow along on our journey! Enjoy!
